Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Sales Development Representative - Systems in United States

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for:

  • Inbound lead qualification, lead routing, and execution process for Cadence Systems software solutions

  • Follow-up on inbound, free trial, and cloud-based product inquiries from web visitors, tradeshows, webinars, and other marketing activities

  • Create and develop opportunities for new business by generating qualified leads for the Cadence Sales teams through various channels

This position is within the Systems Inside Sales Team at Cadence. You will be responsible for engaging with prospects and customers across multiple Cadence products, including PCB design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), RF/Microwave, Signal and Power Integrity, and other CAE workflows.

Day to Day

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities (Own and convert MQL to SQL)

  • Research, identify, and create new opportunities through targeted engagements into current customer and prospect accounts

  • Engage prospects and customers via email and telephone throughout the lead lifecycle and enter statuses in the appropriate internal business systems

  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services by scheduling meetings, appointments, and demos for the various sales channels

  • Create and develop sales opportunities for new business by qualifying inbound leads by presenting Cadence System product solutions to potential customers

  • Leverage marketing campaigns to develop and nurture leads appropriately

  • Communicate improvements to the current internal processes for qualifying leads and system functionality

    Essential Skills and Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred but open to all degreed engineering disciplines)

  • Experience working in a sales or customer relations environment

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products

  • Understanding of CRM software (SalesForce preferred) and the sales process

  • Self-motivated, able to solve problems and results-driven

  • Ability to multi-task between various activities

  • Honest, accountable, organized and energetic

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
